Karl Lagerfeld Hotel to open in Macau

Grand-Lisboa-at-night
Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld is teaming up with the Sociedade de Jogos de Macau to open a luxury hotel in Macau, southern China. Developed under his own brand, Karl Lagerfeld Greater China, the luxury hotel will be the first in the world fully designed by Karl Lagerfeld and will feature 270 guestrooms and suites in a 20-storey exclusive tower as part of Lisboa Palace.

“I am very happy and proud to work on such a great project: An entire hotel designed by me. It’s the first time for me! I think the idea is great!” said Mr. Karl Lagerfeld in a statement.

Expected to open in 2017, Lisboa Palace will comprise a full range of non-gaming facilities: Michelin-starred restaurants, a wedding pavilion , a multi-purpose theatre for celebrations and events, and a themed retail mall. The resort will also have up to 700 gaming tables and 1,200 slot machines.
