Commissioned by FIFA for a second time, French fashion house Louis Vuitton created a one-of-a-kind, custom-made trunk for the 2014 FIFA World Cup trophy. The luxurious monogrammed case is fitted with the brand’s signature brass lock and corners.
“The case opens from the front and at the top to allow the trophy to be easily removed when, at the final game on July 13, it will be delivered to the captain of the winning game.” – a representative from the brand explained to WWD.
The official closing ceremony of FIFA 2014 will take place at the Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro, and Gisele Bundchen will present the award to the lucky winners. And you thought football wasn’t fashionable?
