To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first 02 off the line, BMW just unveiled the 2002 Hommage concept car at Villa d’Este in Lake Como, Italy.
“Exactly 50 years ago, the 02 range kick-started an era of success for BMW. This compact coupe is one of the vehicles which made the brand what it is today,” explains BMW’s senior VP Adrian van Hooydonk.
The German automaker incorporated various design elements to invoke the aggressive styling, while under the hood is the turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, with 370bhp and 369lb ft of torque. Like BMW’s other Hommage concepts, there are no plans for a production version of the 2002 Hommage. Looks special, no?
