Liverpool-based designer Stuart Hughes has created the world’s most expensive smartphone – iPhone 5 Black Diamond. The custom made iPhone 5 took nine weeks to create and boasts a massive circa of 135 grams of 24ct gold; encrusted with 600 precious stones, out of which, 53 are housed in the Apple logo and the home button was replaced by a 26ct flawless black diamond. The device’s screen is “of course” made of sapphire glass, Hughes said. The special luxury edition of iPhone 5 costs £10 million (about $15.3 million) and was commissioned by a Chinese business man who has had the black diamond for a while.
