Luxury customisation specialists Goldgenie has launched an exquisite new limited edition, the Superstar range. Designed by a Swiss designer, the phone comes in two editions: the 18ct Solid Gold Superstar iPhone 5 and the 18ct Solid Gold Diamond Studded Superstar Ice, laced with around 364 diamonds (5.5 carats in total).
“What’s more, we understand that mobile phones are consumable goods and many people like to upgrade every year or two which is why this unique range is timeless. The 200grams of solid gold can be melted down and, along with the diamonds, be re-designed to embellish any other phone model.” – the company said in a statement. “The value of gold is constantly increasing, making this purchase a real investment for the future.”
Each of these models will come in a sophisticated cherry oak finished box, accesorised with Apple earpods, USB cable, charger and documentation plus authentication certificate. The Superstar edition of the phone retails for £48,000 (approx.75,090) and the Superstar Ice retails for £68,000 (approx. 106,379).
