Bentley Motors has teamed up with luxury goods designer Vincent du Sartel, (who previously held design roles at Louis Vuitton and Loewe) to launch a new collection of leather handbags.
“More than luxury vehicles, Bentley’s models today are capturing more and more women’s hearts through their elegant lines and flawless materials,” she said Dr. Ariane Reinhart, a member of the Bentley board.
The initial collection consists of two styles, each available in a range of colors inspired by Bentley paint finish palette, such as Fireglow Red, Linen, Neptune Blue and Imperial Blue. The Barnato handbag ($7000) is named after Diana Barnato Walker – who was a pilot, and became the first British woman to break the sound barrier in 1963; and the Continental handbag ($5,500) is inspired by the car range of the same name. The bags will make their debut on Aug. 18 at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and will be sold initially through a series of trunk shows and events in the U.S., U.K., Asia and the Middle East.
