Celebrating nine decades of BMW Motorrad heritage, the BMW R nineT embodies pure, unfiltered riding passion. Inspired by the iconic 1923 R 32—BMW’s very first motorcycle—this retro-styled café racer blends classic design with modern performance. At its heart lies the legendary air/oil-cooled 1,170cc boxer twin, delivering 110 hp (81 kW) at 7,750 rpm and a robust 119 Nm (88 lb-ft) of torque at 6,000 rpm. The result? Instant throttle response and thrilling acceleration from a standstill, wrapped in a timeless, minimalist aesthetic. More than just a tribute, the R nineT is a rideable piece of history—engineered for those who appreciate raw mechanical charm and riding purity.
“Conceived for maximum customisation – The nineT pools together the genes from 90 years of BMW Motorrad and its unique concept has been designed to keep customisation fans happy. During each stage of the puristic roadster’s development, the focus was very much placed on enabling riders to tailor it to their personal preferences in a variety of ways. The choice of modifications ranges from BMW Motorrad genuine accessories to custom-made add-on or accessory parts from specialist customisers, making it possible to create a truly unique machine.”
BMW hasn’t announced pricing or availability yet, but sales should begin early next year. Visit BMW’s dedicated Motorrad R nineT page for a full list of customization options.
