BlackBerry teamed up once again with Porsche Design to launch a premium smartphone, the Porsche Design P‘9982. Based on the BlackBerry Z10, this is BlackBerry’s second collaboration with Porsche Design, following the P‘9981.
“Engineered Luxury meets Powered Performance – what has been true for the first Porsche Design smartphone is even truer for the all-touch P’9882,” says Juergen Gessler, CEO of the Porsche Design Group. “Once again the collaboration with BlackBerry has led to a device that implements our Iconic Style credo without compromises. With the P’9982 we extend our range of modern luxury smartphones and establish ourselves as a market leader in this segment.”
The device features a satin-finished frame made from stainless steel, complemented by a hand-wrapped genuine Italian leather back door. A limited edition model will change the Italian hide for crocodile, model strictly limited to just 500 devices worldwide. The suggested retail price for the P’9982 smartphone is £1450 (Approx $2,350USD). The limited crocodile leather edition will be launched later in December, and will be exclusive to the Porsche Design shop-in-shop at Harrods.(price is unknown).
