‘Step into the Void’ In The French Alps

Step-into-the-Void-Chamonix-01The ‘Step into the Void’ installation is a five-sided glass box located on the top terrace of the Aiguille du Midi mountain (3842m) in the French Alps, near Chamonix. Tourists can enjoy a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc and experience 1,035 meters of space beneath their feet in complete safety. Claimed to be “the tallest attraction in Europe,” the construction was designed by Pierre-Yves Chays and took three years to develop by Compagnie Du Mont Blanc, the firm responsible for managing transportation in the mountains. The Chamonix skywalk opened to the public on December 21, 2013. Would you be brave enough to do this?
