Ballymore Group and Eco World unveiled plans for Embassy Gardens, a new Thames-side development in Battersea. The complex will feature a breathtaking suspended swimming pool that will bridge across two new 10-storey apartment buildings. The “SkyPool,” will be 25 m (82 ft) long, 5 m (16 ft) wide and 3 m (10 ft) deep, without any additional frame or support.
“My vision for the sky pool stemmed from a desire to push the boundaries in the capability of construction and engineering,” said Ballymore Group chairman and CEO, Sean Mulryan. “I wanted to do something that had never been done before.”
Planned for completion in 2017 Embassy Gardens will be made up of around 2,000 homes including three-bedroom suites and penthouses starting at £602,000; the residential blocks will also feature a rooftop bar, spa and orangery. Would you take a dip in London’s first sky pool?
