Considered a member of the Chanel family, Pharrell Williams stars in a short clip for the French luxury house to promote the new it-bag – Chanel Gabrielle bag. Shot by director Antoine Carlier, the musician approaches an empty concert hall, does a balancing act and turns it into his playground. The American rapper just made Chanel history by being the first man to front a handbag campaign for the brand.
“The guy I play in the movie is a guy who is probably really into Chanel, a lot like who I am right now,” he says. “He walks into this place looking for someone, or looking for some people. No one’s there and if he’s going to have fun, it will be his way. So I can relate to the character a lot. I think I’m playing myself.”
