Sotheby’s Sealed, in collaboration with Ferrari Beverly Hills, proudly offers this remarkable Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Alloy. Crafted from lightweight aluminum, this Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Alloy is one of only 16 ever built, it is also among the very few originally featuring an outside fuel cap from the factory.
Building on the success of the 275 GTB, Ferrari introduced the 275 GTB/4 in 1966, incorporating the now-signature long nose bodywork and torque tube transmission. Additionally, it featured the new Tipo 226 3.3-liter engine, equipped with four overhead camshafts and six Weber carburetors as standard.
In his book The Ferrari Legend: The Road Cars, Antoine Prunet specifically mentions 09413, stating “It appeared that the 275 GTB/C did not have a true counterpart in the GTB/4 series…it also seemed that some examples obtained, at the works itself, special treatment. This was, for example, the case of 09413/GT-4A which, in addition to its special designation, received among other modifications, special pistons, an aluminum body, an external fuel filler, and Borrani wire wheels.” This was as close as one could get to a 275 GTB/4 ‘Competizione,’ if such a car were to exist. Finished in Rosso Chiaro over a Pelle Nera interior, there was no mistaking this 275 GTB/4 for anything other than Ferrari’s latest and greatest.”
Expected to command between 3,500,000 and 4,500,000 USD, this car ranks among the most coveted 275 GTBs in existence.
