Swiss manufacturer of luxury watches RJ-Romain Jerome unveiled a flying tourbillon featuring a unique three-dimensional architecture – the Moon Orbiter Tourbillon. The Moon Orbiter is a tribute to the conquest of space; the watch incorporates melted down parts from the Apollo 11 shuttle into the structure and moon dust into the dial. The case itself is in steel and measure 49 mm wide, 45 mm long and 20 mm thick, and comes with an exclusive system of lugs mounted on pneumatic cylinders to ensure both wearer comfort and the smooth fit of the black alligator strap. The massive case houses in the Caliber RJ3000-A – Mechanical self-winding movement that displays the time on the right, flying tourbillon of the left and shows off the power reserve indicator on the lower part of the dial. On the back, the movement is clearly showcased through a large sapphire crystal exhibition case back. Romain Jerome will produce just 25 pieces of the Moon Orbiter with a price of $115,000.
