Well, if you’re looking to really impress your valentine, this might be the way to go. Luxury retail site VeryFirstTo has teamed up with culinary site Great British Chefs to offer what they’re calling the most romantic Valentine’s dinner ever. Designed by Michelin-starred chef Adam Simmonds, the eight-course menu reads like a wish list of extravagant ingredients. There’s white caviar at £3,000, gold leaf at £2,000, truffles at £1,000 and Bluefin Tuna, a species sadly close to extinction. Matching all of this are some of the rarest wines on the planet, including a bottle of La Romanée-Conti priced at £17,000 and a very special 1959 Salon Blanc de Blancs at £3,600.
“Each dish has been created with romance in mind and to allow the spectacular ingredients to work their magic, in both creating delicious food and the perfect mood for romance,” said Adam Simmonds of the menu.
The whole package will set you back “only” £61,000, or roughly $99,490, and you have until February 11th to place your order. So what do you think? Would you splurge on this dinner if you had the money?
