Bugatti Type 57 Grand Raid Roadster
A breathtaking 1935 Bugatti Type 57 Grand Raid Roadster was a highlight of RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction in California this August. Chassis number 57260 was originally commissioned in 1935 by Swiss collector Jules Aellen, making it one of just 10 Grand Raid Roadsters, and one of only two bodied by Carrosserie Worblaufen in Switzerland. With an estimate of $1,000,000–$1,200,000, this rare masterpiece ultimately sold for $990,000.
