Danish high-end sound system manufacturer Bang & Olufsen has introduced a new iPad dock for audiophiles: the BeoPlay A3. Made of polycarbonate ABS plastic with an aluminum frame, it measures 14.2 by 8.3 by 2.8 inches (36 x 21 x 7 cm), weighs 2.8 pounds (1.25 kg), and offers five hours of battery life. The BeoPlay A3 senses the iPad’s orientation and activates the relevant speakers accordingly, whether positioned horizontally or vertically. It will be available in black for $730, with a white version planned for later in the year.
