Italian car manufacturer Lamborghini has recently introduced a new range of luxury mobile devices for the Russian market. The company unveiled three handsets and one tablet; notably, both the tablet and one of the handsets run on Android.
The first luxury phone, the TL688 Spyder, features a handmade leather body with gold accents, a 2-inch QVGA display, a 3-megapixel camera with video recording, a front-facing camera, 4GB of internal memory, and GPRS/EDGE connectivity. It is priced between 60,000 and 70,000 RUB (approximately $1,829 – $2,134).
The second model, the TL820 Spyder 2, also features gold and leather accents. It includes a 2.4-inch VGA display, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, 1GB of internal memory (expandable up to 16GB), and a 1,200mAh battery. It is priced at 80,000 RUB (approximately $2,438).
The third phone, the TL700, features a gold-plated body, sapphire glass coating, and a crocodile skin back. Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, it boasts a 3.7-inch display, a Qualcomm processor, a 5MP rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, 4GB of internal memory, and a 1,400mAh battery. It is priced at 90,000 RUB (approximately $2,743).
Finally, the Lamborghini L2800 tablet also runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It features a 9.7-inch sapphire crystal display (1024×768 pixels), a 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor, a 5MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory with MicroSD support. It is priced at 75,000 RUB (approximately $2,286).
All four luxury devices are expected to be available in Russia starting in August. Currently, there is no word on whether they will be released in other markets.
