The House of Cartier has now given a sneak peek at its forthcoming mechanical watches with the Cartier ID Two concept watch, a high-efficiency watch equipped with a revolutionary movement which consumes 50% less energy and store 30% more energy than a comparable mechanical movement. The ID Two uses the 42mm wide Calibre style case, but one that is made from Ceramyst, sealed using vacuum pressure and without screws, and looks damn good too. Cartier ID Two offers 32 days of power reserve in the same volume as a standard box and opens the path for the watchmaking of the future. Watch the official video after the break. Unfortunately, Cartier ID Two is only a “concept watch”.
