Christian Louboutin teamed up with Walt Disney to re-design the famous lost slipper, to mark the release of Cinderella on Blu-Ray in the fall of 2012. Imagining a modern-day Cinderella, the French designer used lace, crystals and attached two sparkling butterflies( and naturally, the sole is red).
“Cinderella is not only an iconic character when it comes to beauty, grace and fairy-tale love, but also shoes,” Louboutin tells WWD. “Her character and her story dictated the design to me, it was all there in the pages and the words of this tale.”
Revealed during Haute Couture Paris fashion week this week, the shoes will not be mass produced. What do you guys think of the new Cinderella shoes?
