Mini teamed up with Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli to create a unique Paceman that has been auctioned at the 21st Life Ball charity event. The Life Ball is a charity event held in Vienna, Austria every year that raises money to fight the spread of HIV and AIDS.
“Designing the MINI was a very fun, exciting and stimulating experience. I had to create a car which not only respected and conveyed my fashion, but also my lifestyle: an unusual challenge, but surely a fascinating one”, notes Cavalli about his recent creation.
The uniquely designed Mini is painted in an exclusive color that has already featured in Cavalli’s own fleet of cars; It also features a big Cavalli logo on the roof, along with his signature on the door. The interior of the unique Paceman is all black with individual gilded elements, reinforced by the hallmark Cavalli animal prints on the leather-lined steering wheel and parts of the instruments. No changes have been made to the car’s mechanical package, the car is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 184 hp (135 kW ).
