Swiss watchmaker RJ-Romain Jerome has unveiled its first skeleton timepiece – the Skylab. Named after NASA’s first space station and celebrating the 40th anniversary of its launch, Skylab features a stainless steel case measuring 44mm ; It has double sapphire crystals and it is water resistant to 30 meters. Inside is the Swiss automatic movement Romain Jerome caliber RJ004-M with 21 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 48 hours. True to the DNA of the brand each watch contains material from Apollo 11 mission on the bezel. The timepiece is available in three options – “Skylab Heavy Metal”, ”Skylab Speed Metal” and “Skylab Red” – each model is limited to 99 pieces.
