Riccardo Tisci has unveiled his debut collection for Nike via Instagram. As a longtime fan of the Air Force 1, the Givenchy creative director designed four different basketball shoes based on the classic silhouette.
“The shoe is universal yet somehow very personal,” Tisci explained to Fashion Telegraph. “I travel all over the world, and I see people wearing the Air Force 1, and they wear it in so many different ways. And so I was thinking, what is the essence of the Air Force 1? And how do I take that essence and make my own statement?”
Named “The Nike R.T. Air Force 1 Collection,” the capsule collection will be available in white from March 1, and in black from April 1. Do you like Riccardo Tisci’s designs?
