Commissioned by FIFA for the second time, French fashion house Louis Vuitton crafted a one-of-a-kind, custom-made trunk for the 2014 FIFA World Cup trophy. The luxurious monogrammed case features the brand’s signature brass lock and corners.
“The case opens from the front and at the top to allow the trophy to be easily removed when, at the final game on July 13, it will be delivered to the captain of the winning game.” – a representative from the brand explained to WWD.
The official closing ceremony of the 2014 FIFA World Cup will be held at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, with Gisele Bündchen presenting the award to the fortunate winners. And you thought football wasn’t fashionable?
