Mott 32, an underground restaurant in Hong Kong, was officially named the best interior space of 2014 at the Inside World Festival of Interiors. Named after 32 Mott Street in New York, the 7,500-square-foot (697 sq.m.) restaurant is located in a basement that once served as a storage facility. The space was designed by Hong Kong architect Joyce Wang.
“It was a Hong Kong project that explored Hong Kong culture, both past and present, which makes the project so special and winning this award even better,” explained Joyce Wang.
The restaurant showcases a remarkable blend of Eastern and Western influences. Check out the award-winning interior design below and let us know what you think.
