A rare 1907 Harley-Davidson Strap Tank Motorcycle is estimated to fetch $800,000 to $1,000,000 at Mecum Auctions on March 20 and 21. Considered by many to be the best unrestored H-D Strap Tank example in the world, it sports its original paint job, engine, and frame. These earliest Harley-Davidson “strap tank” models are the rarest and most coveted of all Milwaukee machinery. The serial number (#2037) suggests it is the 37th Harley-Davidson built in 1907, making it their 94th machine ever built, including the two prototypes.

*UPDATE: The 1907 Harley-Davidson Strap Tank sold for a hammer price of $650,000.
