Legendary basketball player Michael Jordan has officially joined the billionaire club. Forbes ran the numbers and landed on $1 billion. That puts him 513th richest in the US and 1,741st worldwide. Not bad for a guy whose playing salary stopped coming years ago. The real money machine is Nike. Jordan banked $90 million from the brand in 2013 alone. Then there are the Charlotte Hornets. The team was worth $410 million last year. Now it’s $725 million. Paper gains count too, apparently.
