V-Moda Unveils 3D Printed Headphones With Gold Plates $40,000

V-Moda is taking customization to a new level by offering headsets with 3D-printed panels. Treating headphones as a fashion item, V-Moda allows users to create their own headphones online, and come in a variety of exotic and luxurious materials including fiber, stainless steel and precious metals like solid 14k gold, 14k rose gold, 14k white gold or platinum. The headphones themselves start at $270, while the custom shields vary in price, a fiber shield will cost you only $40, stainless steel plates will go for about $100 for on-ear and $150 for over-ear kits, while platinum plates will go for about $40,000.
