Emory Motorsports continues to amaze us with this modern take on the classic 1958 Porsche 356A. The Californian car company updated this beauty with some premium flourishes for the exterior and interior, all without losing that timeless appeal. Power comes from a 185 hp 2.4L 4cyl 911 engine mated to a 901 5Speed transmission, while underneath, the car rides on a 901 rear suspension.
The interior looks stock and original, is dressed in green leather upholstery with tartan center panel on Speedster seat.
“Emory Specials and Outlaws are designed and built in our North Hollywood werks, near to our Valley Custom Shop roots in California. These all-metal originals benefit from painstaking restoration and thoughtful engineering which produce a race- or rally-inspired car with far greater performance capabilities than stock vehicles from the era. Our objective is to artistically blend Porsche’s classic design aesthetic with styling cues from factory competition cars, period coachbuilders and original concepts of our own.” – says on owner Rod Emory’s business card.
