Say hello to the extravagant Golden Opulence Sundae served by New York restaurant, Serendipity 3. The decadent dessert is made with the finest ingredients such as Tahitian vanilla ice cream infused with Madagascar vanilla beans, a 23-carat gilded leaf, and then drizzled with the world’s most expensive chocolate Amedei Porceleana, and covered with chunks of rare Chuao chocolate. Served in a Baccarat crystal goblet (that you get to take home with you) with an 18K gold spoon, the dreamy ice cream creation is adorned with exotic candied fruits from Paris, gold covered almonds, chocolate truffles and marzipan cherries. Priced at US$1,000 the sundae was listed in Guinness World Records as the most expensive sundae in the world in 2007. The sundae needs to be ordered 48 hours in advance. Happy National Ice Cream Day!
