It all started back in September, when Bugatti’s Chiron broke the 0 to 250 mph speed record with a time of 41.96 seconds. Well, today Koenigsegg released a video of its 1,360hp Koenigsegg Agera RS cracking the record from 0-249mph-0 in 36.44s seconds, beating Bugatti’s record by 5.52 seconds.
‘It makes me so proud, so happy and excited to see what we have achieved as a team with the Agera RS. A result like this does not just happen. It may have only taken a few hours of driving to complete this run, but we cannot overlook all of the work that went into creating the car in the first place.’ said Christian von Koenigsegg, founder and CEO.
The Agera RS was driven by Koenigsegg factory driver, Niklas Lilja, at Vandel Airfield in Denmark.
