Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta has revealed the design for Under, Europe’s first underwater restaurant, located in the coastal village of Båly, Norway. The striking concrete structure will accommodate between 80 and 100 guests while also functioning as a marine research facility.
The name Under carries a dual meaning in Norwegian, translating to both “under” and “wonder,” reflecting the project’s immersive concept and unique setting beneath the sea.

Designed across three levels, the restaurant offers an open and atmospheric dining experience, culminating in a large panoramic acrylic window that provides uninterrupted views of the surrounding marine environment.

Blending architecture, fine dining, and science, Under positions itself as a groundbreaking destination in experiential and sustainable design. What do you think of ? Fancy dining under the sea?
