One of the most stunning examples of the BMW 507, owned by Formula One racing legend John Surtees will go under the hammer at the Goodwood Festival of Speed Sale on July 13, 2018. Acquired brand new in 1957 by British racing icon, this beauty remained in his possession up until his passing last March.
According to the car’s description on Bonhams, there’s a story saying John Surtees saw BMW engineering director Alexander von Falkenhausen driving his 507 at Hockenheim and it was love at first sight.
“He saw me looking at it, and said to try it, Surtees recalled. “I came back thinking ‘that’s rather nice’.
Expected to fetch between £2,000,000 and £2,200,000. If you’re feeling lucky, then go to the Goodwood!
