Deus Ex Machina’s Michael “Woolie” Woolaway has created another race-inspired road bike in collaboration with legendary flat track chassis designer, Jeff Cole. Nicknamed The Framer, this build is inspired by American Flat Track racers and built around a 2017 Yamaha FZ-07 powertrain.
Painted in “Black Candy,” the details are pretty impressive, the frame was meticulously designed around a custom fuel tank from high-grade .60 Chromoly. Other noteworthy upgrades include a custom fuel tank, Brembo brake setup, Yoshimura crash protection, handcrafted Saddleman seat, and a sport-bike-style carbon fiber exhaust.
A set of race-proven 19” Roland Sands Traction wheels wrapped in Mitas DOT approved rubber ensure performance and grip.
“The bike resembles a “big brother version of the Honda CR500 Street Tracker built for Dani Pedrosa, where his was a Short Track racer, this is a proper mile bike with third gear wheelies all day” – Woolie.
The bike is really freaking sweet. The Framer is currently for sale through Deus Los Angeles, for inquiries please visit Deus’ website.
