Saigon-based bike builder Bandit9 is celebrating its 10th anniversary and has introduced its most ambitious project to date, the Supermarine. Developed from the ground by in-house aerospace, robotics and mechanical engineers, the Supermarine borrows its curves from leaping Mobula Rays and features a lightweight chassis made from 7075 aluminium, a material used in missiles, spacecraft, and other defense applications.
Power comes from either 900cc or 1200cc Triumph Twin engines. The 900cc motor produces 74hp and 59ft-lbs of torque, capable of 120mph (193 kmh) top speed, while the more powerful 1200cc produces 103hp and 83-ft-lbs of torque, giving the Supermarine a top speed of 130mph (210 kmh).
The wind tunnel-sculpted bodywork is available in Race-spec ABS or carbon fiber, at rider’s choice.
No word on price but the Bandit9 Supermarine is currently available for order on a made-to-order, with deliveries scheduled to begin in December of 2021.
