A beautifully presented bare metal 1964 Porsche 904 GTS will be offered at auction during the RM Sotheby’s tenth anniversary Paris sale. This particular example bearing chassis No. 904-036, which was delivered on February 27th, 1964 is one of only 108 units ever produced (excluding a few prototypes), making it a highly sought-after and rare item. The first owner was a young Udo Schütz, a talented racer who would become a Porsche factory driver thanks to his performances in this 904.
Finished in Silver Metallic over Blue this 1964 rare beauty features the original factory bodywork and comes powered by a mid-mounted, quad-cam and air-cooled opposed four-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed transmission and good for around 260hp.
At the interior features race bucket seats are fitted with Schroth Racing and Willans multi-point harnesses. The shift knob is made of chrome and the steering wheel is covered in Alcantara, prominently displaying the Porsche emblem.
Expected to fetch between $2,150,000 – $2,450,000 USD.
