Winston Yeh, the founder and lead designer of Rough Crafts, recently unveiled their latest custom creation at the workshop—an impressive Ducati Monster 821 named the “Bologna Dogfight,” showcasing a sleek, all-black design. Based on the Ducati Monster 821, a café racer renowned for its clean and sophisticated lines, this specific motorcycle’s design draws inspiration from various elements found in Winston Yeh’s acclaimed BMW R nineT builds.
“I wanted it to have those classic café racer lines,” Yeh shared in an interview on the bike, adding “A bit rounded and elegant—but still very recognizably Rough Crafts.”
This unique Ducati Monster 821 showcases remarkable elements such as a meticulously designed scalloped aluminum fuel tank adorned with handmade Rough Craft badges, retro-styled SC-Project megaphone mufflers, a CNC milled subframe, and a stylish two-piece leather seat resting on a 3D-printed tail cowl.
Rough Crafts enhanced the performance of the stock front forks by installing an Andreani cartridge kit and replaced the bottom yoke with a CNC Racing variant. For the rear suspension, a blacked-out Öhlins shock was installed.
To reduce weight, 17″ carbon fiber wheels sourced from BST were utilized, while Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires were chosen to provide excellent sporty traction.
