Rolls-Royce Unveils the Spectre Lunaflair: A Holographic Paintwork Marvel

Spectre Lunaflair

Rolls-Royce is showcasing the expertise of its Bespoke team with the unveiling of the one-of-a-kind Spectre Lunaflair, commissioned by an American enthusiast and featuring a mesmerizing iridescent effect from its captivating “holographic paint finish.” Inspired by the lunar halo phenomenon, where moonlight refracts through ice crystals to create a vibrant ring, this ultra-luxury coupe boasts a unique paint finish that replicates this ethereal effect. The painstaking process to achieve this one-of-a-kind look took over a year to complete.

“We are constantly astounded by the diversity of ideas that inform our clients’ Bespoke concepts, which frequently draw inspiration from materials, finishes and themes they see in other commissions. Spectre Lunaflair is the perfect example of this, exploring the ethereal beauty of a lunar halo and sparked by the client after witnessing a paint finish on another Bespoke motor car. This symbiotic relationship and cross-pollination of ideas is fostering a ‘virtuous circle’ of innovation and creativity, which is incredibly important to our team of Bespoke designers, as we focus on delivering unparalleled value to those who entrust us with their vision.” – stated in the press release, Martina Starke, Head of Bespoke Design, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

To complement the holographic exterior, the interior features a sophisticated blend of navy blue, white, and peony pink. These vibrant hues add a touch of luxury to the seat upholstery, doors, and Starlight Headliner. The steering wheel further enhances the aesthetic with a striking dual-tone finish, combining navy on the exterior with Arctic White on the interior.

As a bespoke masterpiece, the Spectre Lunaflair will remain a unique creation, with its signature Lunaflair paint finish exclusively reserved for the discerning patron who commissioned it. Oh, I’m sure the client will be absolutely over the moon—because who wouldn’t be thrilled with a car that took a year to paint?
