Sigma has clearly prioritized the user experience with its new BF full-frame mirrorless camera, adopting a “deliberately minimal” design that removes all distractions and barriers to creativity. With just four buttons and a dial, the camera eliminates unnecessary complexity, ensuring nothing distracts, limits, or stifles creative expression.
Boasting a minimalist design and built to last, this camera is made in Japan and machined from a single piece of aluminum—a process that takes Sigma over seven hours to complete. It has compact dimensions of 5.1 x 2.9 x 1.4 inches (130.1 x 72.8 x 36.8mm) and weighs just 15.7oz (446g) with the battery. Compatible with a wide range of L-mount lenses, it’s ideal for everyday use.
Featuring a 24.6-megapixel, 35mm full-frame sensor, this camera boasts 230GB of built-in storage—enough for approximately 14,000 JPEGs, 4,300 uncompressed RAW images, or 2.5 hours of high-quality video. It also supports L-Mount lenses, charges and transfers data via USB-C, and offers a battery life of roughly 260 images or one hour of video recording.
We’d like to hear what you think, though. Do you find the internal storage sufficient, or do you think the absence of a card slot is a misstep? Share your perspective in the comments below.
Priced at $1999 the Sigma BF will be available this April and is now available for pre-order in black or silver.
