California-based restomod company Singer has just revealed a stunning new reimagined Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe that feels like the ultimate dream car for the 1980s, a true 80s love letter to car enthusiasts. It blends classic Turbo-era styling with an optional whale tail spoiler and packs a Cosworth-developed 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine. In short—this is a car we can’t help but crave!

Like many of Singer’s masterpieces, this latest creation draws inspiration from a rare vintage 911, as Rob Dickinson explains: “In the 1980’s you could order a new 911 Carrera with the pumped-up bodywork of the Turbo but powered by the company’s latest, naturally aspirated flat six. It became known as the Carrera with Super Sport Equipment. Our services reference this car and celebrate the era with a vision for an ultimate, naturally aspirated, G model 911, reimagined for the twenty-first century.”

Building on their expertise from the DLS program—which introduced Singer’s first four-valve cylinder head—the engine in this reimagined Carrera Coupe was meticulously developed in collaboration with Cosworth and marks several significant firsts for the California-based company. Most notably, it features variable valve timing and water-cooled cylinder heads, enabling the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six to produce an impressive 420 horsepower and rev all the way to a thrilling 8,000 rpm.

The interior is just as customizable as the exterior, allowing each car to be tailored precisely to the owner’s preferences. To showcase the breadth of personalization possible, Singer is launching this new service with two distinct examples: the Giallo Segnale features a minimalist, track-oriented cabin, while the Celeste Passalacqua embraces the rich, leather-clad luxury that has become a hallmark of Singer’s reimagined 911s.

Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but one thing is certain: it’s a rare opportunity for the most discerning Porsche enthusiasts.
