Renowned British car designer Ian Callum has unveiled the latest creation from his design house—a bold reinterpretation of the Mk5 Mini Sportspack. Developed in collaboration with legendary coachbuilder Wood and Pickett, the revived Mini finds its first owner in model and car enthusiast David Gandy.
“The Wood and Pickett Mini by Callum embodies everything I love about automotive craftsmanship, bespoke, attention to detail, and, of course, performance. I’m proud to be the first owner of such a remarkable vehicle.” — David Gandy

Enhanced Aerodynamics and Bold Visuals
Built on the Mk5 Sportspack Mini platform, this car showcases several exclusive visual upgrades. Notable features include completely redesigned lighting housings, a reworked rear end, unique valances, and more pronounced wheel arches—each enhancing both aerodynamics and cooling efficiency. It sits on 13-inch alloy wheels crafted by Callum, paired with 8.4-inch vented and grooved brake discs for superior stopping power.
A Modern Soul in a Classic Shell
Inside, the reinvention truly comes to life. The newly designed dashboard, inspired by Wood & Pickett’s iconic “Margrave” interiors, fuses vintage charm with modern craftsmanship. A bespoke ‘Piano’ switch pack, precision-machined metal bezels, and CALLUM-trimmed seats complete the cabin’s elevated aesthetic—both visually and to the touch. Included are classic analog instruments, a touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay, and physical switches managing the lights, hazard signals, and other essential functions.
“The Mini is one of the most important cars ever created not just for its innovative engineering, but for what it represents culturally as a symbol of British ingenuity and style. It’s a car that broke the rules and became a global icon. To reimagine it through the lens of CALLUM, with Wood and Pickett’s craftsmanship, has been deeply rewarding.” — Ian Callum, Design Director at Callum, shared in a press release.

Engineered for the Driving Purist
Under the hood, a rebuilt 1310cc Stage 3 road/rally engine produces 110 BHP, complemented by a reengineered gearbox and retuned ECU for precise, responsive power. Key features include a high-performance cylinder head, twin-point injection, and a bespoke twin-exit exhaust with a signature upswept tailpipe.
The driving experience is enhanced by a road-tuned suspension, upgraded vented and grooved 8.4” brakes, and custom 13” CALLUM-designed alloy wheels. Improved noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) controls deliver a seamless blend of comfort and performance.
