British luxury car-maker Jaguar has introduced a five-seat version of its C-X17 concept at the China’s Guangzhou Auto Show last week.
“We designed the C-X17 from the ground up from a distinct set of principles, a deep sense of what makes a Jaguar: exciting proportions, clean lines, balance of form. Assertive and powerful, yet with a beautiful sensuality about it, the C-X17 is boldly, distinctively Jaguar.” – Ian Callum, Design Director, Jaguar.
On the outside, the only difference for the updated C-X17 is its new color scheme, called “Liquid Gold.” Inside, the concept unveiled for Guangzhou boasts an ultra-luxurious cabin with leather upholstery on the seats and dashboard, walnut trim on the door panels, and a new premium audio system from Meridian featuring 28 speakers—some located in the A and B pillars—to deliver a truly immersive soundstage.
The C-X17 is based on a new aluminum monocoque architecture that will underpin an exciting range of future Jaguars. While we still don’t have specifics on the engines, the model will utilize a variety of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel powertrains.
