Pagani Introduces Lighter Huayra BC With 789hp

Pagani Huayra BC 1
The Pagani Huayra BC is here. The Italian brand made it official ahead of the Geneva Motor Show 2016 and this one is something special. The BC name honors Benny Caiola, the firm’s very first customer. Nice way to say thank you. Under the hood sits a familiar face. The twin-turbocharged 5,980cc V-12 comes from Mercedes-AMG and now pushes out 789bhp and 811 Nm of torque. It pairs with a brand new seven-speed automated manual transmission built for this car alone.

Pagani also went all out on weight. The BC uses a new type of carbon fiber that the company says is around 50 percent lighter and 20 percent stronger than the regular stuff. Add a titanium exhaust, lighter Brembo brakes, custom forged wheels and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires and you get a supercar that means business.

Want one? You’re out of luck! Limited to just 20 units the Huayra BC is priced at 2.3 million euros (about $2.5 million USD) each, all have already sold.

UPDATE: This thing isn’t just fast in a straight line. The Huayra BC can also drift like a proper hooligan. We found footage of it sliding around and it’s every bit as wild as you’d hope. See the Pagani Huayra BC drift in action.
