It’s official: Disney have confirmed that their long-awaited new Star Wars theme park will open in 2019, along with the release of Star Wars Episode 9. Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger made the announcement during Walt Disney Company Q1 FY17 Earnings call. Currently under construction at both Disneyland in Anaheim and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida, the 14-acre Star Wars Land is an immersive experience – guests will be transported to a never-before-seen planet, populated with characters from the franchise.
