The Bugatti Veyron Diamond Edition is a one-of-a-kind-looking model created through a collaboration between Liverpool designer Stuart Hughes and Munich-based model maker Robert Gulpen. Built at a 1:18 scale, the miniature car weighs around 7kg and is made from solid 24-carat gold and platinum. A 7.2-carat flawless diamond forms the front grille, while the model also includes working steering, doors and bonnet. The intricate build took two months to complete, with only three examples planned for production.
Priced at £2 million, or about $2.9 million at the time, this tiny Bugatti costs more than many full-size supercars. Each model comes with a certificate of authenticity, a glass display case, an aluminium case and photo documentation of its creation.
