The devil wears Prada, but the Virgin Mary wears Louis Vuitton. Italian artist Francesco De Molfetta has created an installation of the Virgin Mary wearing a veil stamped with the French luxury brand’s trademark “LV” logo. The artist says he made the piece to denounce a society built on the cult of appearance, using a brand that stands for the pursuit of fleeting happiness. It is currently on display at the Isola del Gran Sasso in Abruzzo.
