The “four-door Veyron” is still just a concept, but Bugatti has released new photos of the Galibier wearing all black, and the car looks better than ever. The company is keeping mechanical specs and performance numbers under wraps for now, though we do know the concept packs the Veyron’s massive W16 engine mounted in front rather than behind the seats. According to Autoblog, the four-door Veyron could hit production in 2015 with a price tag close to $1.6 million.
The Galibier name itself comes from a famous mountain pass in the French Alps, which fits Bugatti’s tradition of naming cars after racing drivers and mountain roads. The concept first appeared back in 2010 and fans have been waiting ever since to see if Bugatti would actually build it. These new images suggest the project is still alive, even if the company isn’t ready to talk numbers yet.
