Nokia’s luxury brand Vertu has finally made the jump to touchscreens. The Constellation T just showed up at the Bluetooth SIG, which usually means an official launch is right around the corner.
The specs are solid for a Vertu. Up front is a 3.5 inch nHD AMOLED display with high contrast that should look sharp in direct sunlight. Around the back sits an 8 megapixel EDOF camera with twin LED flash and a Heptagon lens, which is a step up from what we usually see on luxury handsets that treat the camera as an afterthought.
Connectivity is fully loaded. You get penta band 3G, so the phone should work on pretty much any network worldwide, plus Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and 32GB of internal storage.
Vertu has not announced pricing, and honestly it barely matters. This is a brand that charges thousands for handsets with modest internals, so expect the Constellation T to land firmly in that territory when it arrives later this month.
