This lime-green 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO is now the most expensive car in the world, has been sold for a mind boggling price of $35 million, Bloomberg reports. The previous sales record was held by a 1936 Type 57SC Bugatti Atlantic back in 2010. Only 39 250 GTO’s were produced, and this stunning car once belonged to legendary British race driver Sterling Moss — in fact, it was custom-made specifically for him. The 250 GTO’s newest owner is car collector Craig McCaw, the former owner of telecom company AT&T. People willing to spend $35 million on a car must really love old Ferraris.
