Birmingham Estate and Jewelry Buyers is selling an 18-carat gold bra encrusted with 501.46 carats of fancy cut multi-colored diamonds. Crafted from 750 grams of solid gold, the blinged-out bra was created by store owner Anthony Aubrey and took 40 workers over three months to complete.
Aubrey named the bra after his wife, Rita. According to Aubrey, the piece appeals to different buyers: some want the status symbol of owning a $1 million bra, others display it as home décor, and some actually wear it. The bra represents a unique blend of luxury craftsmanship and wearable art.
“The difference between this bra and the Victoria’s Secret bras is the Victoria’s Secret bras have fabric in them and the diamonds are kind of embedded into the fabric. This, there’s no fabric in it whatsoever, it’s just solid gold,” Aubrey told CBS News.
The solid gold construction and meticulous diamond placement distinguish this piece from Victoria’s Secret’s million-dollar “Fantasy” bras, making it a true work of wearable art.
