Richard Mille has revealed a new athletic timepiece: an ultra-light tourbillon featuring a yellow, green, and black color scheme that mirrors the Jamaican flag. However, the brand is withholding specific details regarding its new ambassador. In a statement released alongside the watch debut, Richard Mille cited Olympic regulations, noting they cannot officially announce “his” name until three days after the conclusion of the Games.
The identity of the athlete seems clear, however: Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake, the reigning 100-meter World Champion, was recently spotted wearing this distinctive timepiece at various events in London. The brand confirms that its partnership with the sprinter will extend through 2013 as it develops a new caliber specifically for him.
